Below you will find the champions season by season, the most decorated clubs and the main records, all checked as of 14 October 2026.

Algerian champions season by season since 2006-2007

Every season was cross-checked against the RSSSF list of champions, the Wikipedia honours list and the Algerian press. All twenty rows match.

In those twenty seasons ES Sétif were crowned six times, every one of them between 2006-2007 and 2016-2017. CR Belouizdad and MC Alger have four titles each over the same stretch, and USM Alger have three.

Most successful clubs since independence

Eight clubs have a single title: USM Annaba (1963-1964, a different club from today's USM Annaba), NA Hussein Dey (1966-1967), RS Kouba (1980-1981), GCR Mascara (1983-1984), MO Constantine (1990-1991), US Chaouia (1993-1994), USM El Harrach (1997-1998) and ASO Chlef (2010-2011).

These totals include titles won under earlier names: JS Kawkabi and JE Tizi-Ouzou for JS Kabylie, CR Belcourt for CR Belouizdad, MP Alger for MC Alger, EP Sétif for ES Sétif and MP Oran for MC Oran. JS Kabylie have not won the league since 2007-2008, yet they still hold the record.
